(preheat oven 350°)
In a large mixing bowl combine:
2 1⁄4 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1⁄2 teaspoon of salt
Now whisk these ingredients together without creating a dust storm.
In bowl, or stand-up mixer, whip till fluffy:
2 sticks of unsalted butter, softened
1 cup of packed brown sugar
Add to the butter mixture, whipping for a minute:
1 room temp egg
2 teaspoons of real vanilla extract
~ Add flour mixture to butter mixture, mixing till just combined.
~ Stir in 1 1⁄2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
~ Take a tiny ice-cream scoop of cookie dough and make lines of cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet about 3” apart.
~ Bake cookies about 8 minutes or until desired golden brownness.
~ Devour cookies warm from the oven, or after time passes and you’ve exhibited great restraint, give in and indulge in your room temp cookies!
