Got Chocolate? Brownies

(preheat oven 325°)

~ Place an empty metal bowl over a pot, filled with 2” of gently boiling water.

Add into metal bowl: 

4 ounces of unsweetened Valrhona chocolate squares
1⁄2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of butter

~ Melt over heat, stirring till smooth.

~ Then add 1 teaspoon of coffee powder, stir in.

~ Take bowl off heat, let cool 2-3 minutes.

While mixture is cooling, in another bowl combine:

1 cup of all-purpose flour
1 1⁄2 teaspoons of baking powder
1⁄4 teaspoon of salt

~ Mix the dry ingredients.

~ When the chocolate mixture is cooled off, add in 2 eggs and mix thoroughly.

~ Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir till just combined.

~ Add 1 cup of semisweet Valrhona chocolate chips.

~ Pour brownie batter into a lightly greased 8 x 8” baking pan.

~ Bake approximately 30 minutes.

~ Cool in pan, then cut into squares and ENJOY!
